Vegan Ciabatta with Tofu and Asparagus
Ingredients
- Ciabatta - 2 pieces
- Soft tofu - 6.3 oz
- Young Asparagus - 10 stalks
- Garlic - 4 heads
- Refined Olive Oil - to taste
- Sea Salt - to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2
Peel the garlic.
Step 3
Crush the garlic with a chef's knife.
Step 4
Add the garlic to the hot oil.
Step 5
After 2–3 minutes, turn it over.
Step 6
Slice the tofu into thick slices.
Step 7
Remove the garlic and add the tofu to the oil.
Step 8
Sprinkle black pepper on top.
Step 9
Flip it over as soon as the bottom side is browned.
Step 10
Sprinkle with sea salt.
Step 11
Cut the ciabatta lengthwise.
Step 12
Remove the tofu from the heat.
Step 13
Place the asparagus on the hot stove.
Step 14
After a couple of minutes, turn it over and add a little olive oil.

Salt the asparagus. Continue frying over high heat.

Stir and fry for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 17
Remove the asparagus and place the ciabatta in the pan. Lower the heat.

Flip it over as soon as the bottom side is lightly browned. Cook over low heat for about 3 minutes.
Step 19
Place the ciabatta on a plate.
Step 20
Carefully insert the tofu into the ciabatta.

Add the asparagus to the tofu.
