Vegan Napoleon with Bran

Ingredients

  • Soy Vanilla Milk - 17 fl oz
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Wheat Flour - 4 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Bran - 3 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

For the cream, mix sugar, soy milk, and vanilla extract. Place the mixture over heat and bring to a boil. In 0.5 cup of water, dissolve 0.5 tablespoon of flour and gradually pour it into the sugar and vegetable oil mixture. Stir well. Cook the resulting mass for 2–5 minutes until thickened.

Step 2

For the dough, mix 4 cups of flour, bran, and salt. Pour in the vegetable oil and rub until crumbly. Add half a cup of water and knead into a firm dough (water can be added as needed). Divide the finished dough into 6–8 parts, roll out into sheets according to the size of the baking tray, and bake for 20–30 minutes at 356°F.

Step 3

Cool the layers. Crumble one layer for topping, and layer the rest with cream. Sprinkle the finished cake with crumbs and nuts on top. Leave in the refrigerator overnight to soak well.
