Description
The room should be free of drafts, cold, loud noises, and arguments. The dough is alive; it has always been revered and considered sacred! While kneading the dough, people would pray! The recipe originally called for vodka, but I didn't use it (it's vegan dough, you're right).
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 2 lbs
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Sugar - 2 spoons
- Salt - 1½ spoons
- Vegetable Oil - 3 fl oz
- Water - 15 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour. Add the yeast, sugar, and salt, and mix well. In a separate bowl, combine warm water and oil. Gradually pour this mixture into the bowl with the flour while stirring.
Step 2
Lightly dust the countertop with flour, place the dough on it, and start kneading. Don’t hold back when working the dough. Try not to add too much flour — it will turn out too heavy.
Step 3
Place in a bowl, cover with a natural fabric, and set in a warm spot to rise.
Step 4
Doubled in size, knead down each time - it's ready to use.
