Ingredients

  • Butter - 7.1 oz
  • Whole egg - 4 pieces
  • Powdered Sugar - ¾ glasses
  • Vanilla extract - 3 spoons
  • Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
  • Chili jam - 15 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Beat the butter and powdered sugar until creamy.

Step 2

Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth. Gradually add the flour.

Step 3

Knead the dough. It should become sufficiently elastic and not stick to your hands, so you may need more or less flour. Add it gradually, about 2 tablespoons at a time.

Step 4

Roll out 2 balls — one should be slightly larger than the other. Place the smaller ball in the refrigerator, wrapped in cling film.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 356°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Spread the batter evenly across the surface of the tray, forming a slight border around the edges.

Step 6

Spread the jam over the dough.

Step 7

Grate the remaining dough on top using a coarse grater. Place it in the preheated oven for about 20–25 minutes, until the pie is slightly golden.

Step 8

Cut the cooled pie into squares.
