Viennese Cookies with Apple Jam
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Sugar - 5 oz
- Butter - 5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 0 oz
- Lemon - to taste
- Pear Jam - 5 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rub the butter with the flour until crumbly.
Step 2
Add the sugar.
Step 3
Dissolve the baking soda with lemon juice.
Step 4
Add to the bowl.
Step 5
Beat the egg.
Step 6
Knead the dough until smooth and divide it into 2/3 and 1/3. Put the smaller piece in the freezer for 20–30 minutes.
Step 7
Roll out the second piece on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 8
Spread with jam.
Step 9
Grate the dough that was put in the freezer over the layer of jam and distribute evenly.
Step 10
Bake in an oven preheated to 390°F for 30 minutes. While the pastry is still warm, cut into small pieces.
