Walnut Cookies with Blueberry Jam
Ingredients
- Butter - 8.5 oz
- Brown Sugar - ¼ cup
- Sugar - ¼ cup
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 1¾ cups
- Chopped almonds - 1 cup
- Black Currant Jam - 4.2 oz
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Mix the softened butter, both sugars, vanilla, and 0.75 teaspoons of salt. Add the flour and walnuts.
Step 3
Take 1 tablespoon of dough and shape it into balls. Place them on a greased baking sheet. Slightly press them down to flatten and bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Leave on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a plate to cool.
Step 4
Place 1 teaspoon of jam on the bottom side of half the cookies and top with the remaining halves. Arrange on a plate and dust with powdered sugar.
