Description

This recipe is very useful if the purchased watermelon turned out to be under ripe or not very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Watermelon - 2 lbs
  • Sugar - 3 lbs
  • Fresh Mint - to taste
  • Cinnamon - to taste
  • White Beans - to taste
  • Saffron - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

First, peel the watermelon, cut the flesh into wedges, remove all the seeds, cover with water, and boil for 5–10 minutes. After that, drain the watermelon in a colander and start making the sugar syrup.

Step 2

Pour sugar into water and boil until the syrup thickens.

Step 3

Pour the watermelon with the sugar syrup, add spices — mint, cinnamon, vanilla, and let it soak for half an hour.

Step 4

After half an hour, cook the jam over low heat until the desired consistency is reached.
