Description
Of course, you can use any berries you find for sale or any that are left over from summer.
Ingredients
- Serviceberries - 7.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Water - 0 fl oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
If necessary, thaw the blackberries in advance. Alternatively, use fresh ones if available.
Step 2
Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar, add the flour and baking powder, and mix well.
Step 3
Pour in warm water, stirring until the flour lumps dissolve, then add the vanilla sugar.
Step 4
Fold the blackberries into the batter gently, pour it into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Check for doneness with a toothpick or knife inserted into the center of the pie — it should come out clean.
Step 7
Remove the pie, let it cool slightly so the powdered sugar doesn't melt on the hot surface. Dust with powdered sugar using a sieve and serve.
