Winter Fruit Salad
Ingredients
- Sugar - ¾ cup
- Star anise - 3 pieces
- Vanilla Pod - ½ piece
- Dried Apricots - 8 pieces
- Green Figs - 4 pieces
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Citrus Zest Mix - 4 pieces
- Pears - 3 pieces
- Green Apples - 1 piece
- Black Pomegranate Molasses - ½ piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, pour in 4 cups of water and add sugar, star anise, vanilla, and lemon zest. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves. Cool for a few minutes and add the quartered figs and halved apricots. Leave to cool.
Step 2
Meanwhile, peel the pears and apple. Slice them thinly and place them in a bowl. Squeeze the juice from the lemon over the fruit and mix well.
Step 3
When the syrup has cooled, add the fruit to it, cover with plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 4
The next morning, transfer the fruit to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and serve.
