- Wheat Flour - 4 lbs
- Water - 1 qt
- Safflower Oil - 7 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 1.1 oz
- Sugar - 15.2 oz
- Salt - 1.1 oz
- Cherry - 1⅒ kg
- Corn Starch - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the dough: mix flour, water, 150 ml of sunflower oil, yeast, sugar, and salt.
Step 2
Let the dough rest for 10 minutes, covered with plastic wrap.
Step 3
Divide the dough into balls weighing 60 grams each.
Step 4
Prepare the filling: combine the cherries with cornstarch and 400 grams of sugar.
Step 5
Roll out the dough balls.
Step 6
Spread the filling over the dough.
Step 7
Shape the dough into round pastries.
Step 8
Leave the pastries in a warm place for 10 minutes, covered with plastic wrap.
Step 9
Brush the surface of the pastry with sunflower oil.
Step 10
Bake for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 428°F.
