Ingredients
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 2.5 oz
- Dry yeast - 0.2 oz
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 15.9 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Brown Sugar - 3 spoons
- Ground Cinnamon - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the yeast with 2–3 tablespoons of lukewarm milk, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of flour, then let it sit for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Cream the butter with the sugar, add the egg, and whisk well until smooth.
Step 3
Add the flour in portions, along with the milk and the resulting milk-yeast mixture, and mix everything together.
Step 4
Sprinkle the countertop with flour and knead the dough thoroughly.
Step 5
Let the dough rest for one to two hours, until it has doubled in size.
Step 6
When the dough is ready, sprinkle the countertop with flour and roll it out into a rectangle.
Step 7
Sprinkle the dough with a sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Step 8
Roll the dough into a log and cut it into buns.
Step 9
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it with butter.
Step 10
Place the buns on a baking sheet. Brush them with beaten egg and bake for about 30–40 minutes at 356°F.
