Description
The recipe provides the quantity of ingredients calculated for a large portion (6 baking trays of pies). You can proportionally reduce the dosage of all ingredients by 2 or 3 times.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4 lbs
- Chocolate eggs - 6 pieces
- Butter - 10.6 oz
- Dry yeast - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Milk - 1 qt
- Safflower Oil - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Lightly beat the eggs, add sugar and salt. Dissolve the yeast in slightly warm milk, then add melted butter (not hot), and the eggs with sugar and salt. Mix everything until smooth, add part of the flour, and mix again.
Step 2
Add the remaining flour and knead the dough. Knead until the dough pulls away from your hands — at this point, add the sunflower oil, and knead again.
Step 3
Let the dough rise — leave it in a warm place for 2–3 hours, periodically poking the rising dough with a knife.
Step 4
When the dough is ready, make pies with any filling (meat, apples, cabbage, etc.) — roll out the dough, place the filling, pinch the edges. Place on a baking tray, brush with beaten egg, and bake until done.
