Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese - 35.3 oz
  • Unleavened dough - 35.3 oz
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Divide the prepared dough into small pieces, roll them into balls, place them with 2–3 cm spacing on a greased baking sheet, and set in a warm place.

Step 2

When the balls rise, make a small indentation in each using the bottom of a small glass and fill it with the cottage cheese filling.

Step 3

Brush the vatrushki with egg and place them in a hot oven for 10–15 minutes.

Step 4

The filling for the vatrushki can also be made from fresh berries, jam, or preserves. Place fresh berries—strawberries, wild strawberries, raspberries—into the indentation in the dough, sprinkle with sugar, and brush the edges of the dough with beaten egg.
