Description
I made this for Easter, decorated the wreath with a strong sugar syrup and confectionery sprinkles!
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Sugar - 2.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Salt - a pinch
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Poppy seed paste - 0.5 oz
- Toasted Sesame - 0.5 oz
- Frozen Cherimoya Fruits - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast, salt, and sugar in warm milk. Set aside and let it dissolve.
Step 2
Sift the flour into a bowl, add softened butter, the egg, and the milk with yeast. Knead the dough. Cover with a damp cloth and place in a warm spot to rise.
Step 3
Thaw the cherries, rinse them, and let them drain.
Step 4
Soak the poppy seeds in cold water.
Step 5
Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan.
Step 6
Once the dough has risen, place it on a work surface greased with vegetable oil. Divide into 3 parts, roll into ropes. Sprinkle one with sesame seeds, another with poppy seeds, and add cherries to the third. Braid all parts together.
Step 7
Grease a baking dish with butter and place the braid in it. Leave the wreath in the dish to rise for 10–15 minutes.
Step 8
Preheat the oven to 356°F and bake for 40–45 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick.
