Description
Some pancakes naturally have a golden hue, but this particular batch has a distinctly yellow color, which we achieved by adding turmeric to the batter. For these pancakes, we created a dessert filling of banana with peanuts and caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Water - 1 glass
- Milk - 1 glass
- Wheat Flour - 1 glass
- Vegetable Oil - 2 spoons
- Turmeric - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - ½ spoons
- Butter - to taste
- Bananas - 5 pieces
- Roasted Peanuts - 3.5 oz
- Caramel Syrup - 3 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Bring a cup of water to a boil.
Step 2
Using a mixer, beat the eggs with salt and turmeric until frothy. Gradually pour in boiling water while continuing to beat the eggs.
Step 3
Without stopping the mixer, pour in the cold milk. Then, fold in the sifted flour.
Step 4
Finally, stir in the vegetable oil and refrigerate the dough for 20–30 minutes.
Step 5
Mash the bananas with a fork.
Step 6
Chop the peanuts coarsely.
Step 7
Preheat a crepe pan well, and if desired, grease it with a small amount of vegetable oil. Pour in a ladle of batter, spreading it evenly across the bottom. Cook until the edges are golden brown, then flip and cook for about 30 more seconds.
Step 8
Stack the finished pancakes, brushing each one with butter.
Step 9
Mix the peanuts and bananas with a small amount of caramel sauce. Place this filling in each crepe. Fold twice to form a triangle.
Step 10
Serve the yellow pancakes drizzled with caramel sauce and sprinkled with peanuts.
