Description

For baking, it is better to use sweet and sour apples — they hold their shape.

Ingredients

  • Apple - 2 lbs
  • Butter - 4.4 oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 tablespoons
  • Natural Yogurt - 17 fl oz
  • Sugar - 5.3 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 4 pieces
  • Vanilla salt - 0.5 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
  • Baking Powder - 0.5 oz
  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Semolina - 7.1 oz
  • Chopped almonds - 1.1 oz
  • Apricot Jam - 5 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F. Wash the apples, remove the core, and slice them. Mix the lemon juice with 200 ml of water. Drizzle the mixture over the apples. Let sit for 5 minutes. Then place them on a paper towel to dry. Beat the eggs with the vanilla and regular sugar. Fold in the softened butter.

Step 2

Combine the flour, baking powder, and semolina. Add to the yogurt mixture and mix thoroughly. Spread the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Distribute the apple slices over the batter and place the pie in the oven for 25–30 minutes.

Step 3

Wash the lemon under hot water. Grate the zest. Squeeze out the juice. Heat the apricot jam in a saucepan, mix in the zest and lemon juice. Brush the resulting mixture over the warm pie. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
