Description
Baking powder can be replaced with baking soda mixed with table vinegar.
Ingredients
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sour Cream - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 4.6 oz
- Chocolate - 3.5 oz
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the eggs into whites and yolks.
Step 2
Add sugar to the yolks. Mix well.
Step 3
Add sour cream to the mixture and mix again.
Step 4
Melt the butter (100 g) in the microwave or on the stove and add it to the batter.
Step 5
Mix the flour and baking powder, sift through a sieve. Gently mix and bring to a uniform mass.
Step 6
Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
Step 7
Fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture, gently mixing with a spatula.
Step 8
Divide the resulting batter into 2 equal parts.
Step 9
To one part, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and mix well to avoid lumps.
Step 10
Prepare a baking pan by greasing the bottom and sides with butter, and start layering.
Step 11
Pour the batter into the center of the pan alternately - a spoonful of white, a spoonful of dark. This way, the layers will not mix and will maintain their pattern during baking.
Step 12
Preheat the oven to 180–392°F and bake for 40–50 minutes.
Step 13
Melt the chocolate, adding 30 grams of butter, and spread it over the surface of the cake.
Step 14
The cake can be served either hot or cold. Enjoy your meal!
