Zebra Pie with Nuts
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 21.2 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Vinegar essence - to taste
- Walnuts - 4.2 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 12.3 oz
- Condensed Milk - 5.3 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1½ tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar. Add the cooled melted butter, 200 g of sour cream, and baking soda mixed with vinegar (can be replaced with baking powder), and mix thoroughly until smooth. Gradually stir in the ground or finely chopped walnuts, then add the flour.
Step 2
Divide the dough into two parts, adding cocoa to one. Line a baking pan with parchment paper, and alternately spoon the chocolate and white batter into the center of the pan.
Step 3
Bake in the oven for 40–50 minutes at 356°F. If the top of the pie is done but the inside is not yet baked, cover with foil and continue baking until ready.
Step 4
Once cooled, cut the pie in half horizontally, and spread cream (400 g of sour cream and 100–150 g of condensed milk, to taste) on each layer.
