Ingredients
- Egg white - 2 pieces
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 0.7 oz
- Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
- 10% cream - 10 fl oz
- Chopped almonds - 1.1 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Cherry - 8.8 oz
- Unsalted peanuts, shelled - 1.1 oz
- Chocolate - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
Step 2
Add softened butter and mix.
Step 3
Add sugar and mix again (leave a little sugar to add to the eggs).
Step 4
Whisk the eggs.
Step 5
Add the eggs to the batter and gently mix.
Step 6
Grease a baking tray (approximately 30 x 30 cm or slightly larger) with butter, line with parchment paper. Pour in the batter, smooth it out, and bake for 15–20 minutes at 356°F in a preheated oven. Let cool.
Step 7
Cut a circle from the baked layer using a bowl (about 1 liter) as a stencil.
Step 8
Line the bowl used as a stencil with plastic wrap.
Step 9
Cut triangles from the remaining layer and tightly arrange them in the bowl, following its shape.
Step 10
Chop the nuts.
Step 11
Finely chop the chocolate.
Step 12
Whip the cream with powdered sugar.
Step 13
Add chocolate, nuts, and cherries and mix.
Step 14
Spoon the cream into the bowl with the layer, cover with the cut-out circle.
Step 15
Chill in the refrigerator for 6–8 hours. Invert onto a plate.
